I’ve finally moved to a new host, goto http://pekay.co.uk! =)
Well, people have been wondering why I haven’t been posting alot of articles in the past days, and the frequency of my blog posts. I haver been studying in college, and still should be. I do have plans to manage my time more perhaps for blogging and homework. I think I might buy my own hosting soon, to get a set down blog
, also the pekay.co.uk nameservers could be fixed soon to actually be pekay.co.uk for the blog, or maybe another name
.
Microsoft appear to have released or talked to someone that a successor to Windows Vista is probably coming, 2009. But my question about this is can we really trust them on that date? Look at Windows Vista, it was delayed for years when it was released. So 2012? Windows “Vienna” is apparently to have ‘radical changes’ to how its user interface but there are worries that could break applications like some on Vista.
Hang on, I haven’t even upgraded to Vista yet!
In the world we live in today, Windows is not just the most used operating system out there, theres a heck of alot so I’ve been told. But I’m going to focus on Ubuntu now and what we could expect on the next release of the hit distro in Linux. As you may know Ubuntu does a release cycle of about 6 months to most probably make a good update time. What could await the next release of Ubuntu’s next release called Feisty Fawn?
- network-roaming: Provide a better user experience when connecting/disconnecting to/from various dynamically configured networks.
- accelerated-x: This is when accelerated x will be enabled by default, so you can probably play with Beryl
. - bullet-proof-x: The X subsystem is absolutely critical for desktop users, but unrecoverable failures are possible in the current implementation. Even in the face of driver regressions, hardware reconfiguration or other unexpected conditions, the server should start up successfully by whatever means necessary.
- easy-codec-installation: At the moment the messages about not supported formats have no indication on what codecs/packages you need to installation to be able to read the corresponding file. It would be nice to make easy for user to install the corresponding package.
- And alot more
, those what I found interesting.
These are just some of the things from thier spec list available on launch pad, theres alot
.
Is it the M6? Is it the M1? Is it spagetti junction? No its two banners with womens legs! (At least it seems to be a woman).

Thank you drive thru. :p
A sad death for us all? Who knows, I didnt know either.
Well i’ve had comments on how to get on rapidshare even when its blocked. I must give the fact that alot of people just found that you can still through on their SSL site: https://rapidshare.com/
Users on the Broadband provider BT may have experienced that Rapidshare wasn’t loading at all, however the secure version did, speculation started that BT blocked rapidshare since it was working on other ISP’s such as NTL and Blueyonder. It appears rapidshare (.com, not .de =/) seems to be back working.
As some of my friends know, I recently ordered a (cheap, not performance demanding) laptop. Why? I always wanted a laptop, and now I work I finally can buy one of my own ;D. It has arrived suprising on the day I requested too! I will put up pictures later of it in action, also perhaps a video of it (dunno if 256 ram can even perform this well) running Beryl on Ubuntu Linux.
Linux isn’t yet put on the laptop, I’m looking into this
. At the moment its just got Windows XP (Pro).
